ISSF prepared this position statement for consideration at the next International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) meeting. The statement covers topics in these categories: tuna conservation; fish aggregating devices (FADs); harvest strategies; bycatch and sharks; monitoring, control, and surveillance; and compliance.
The statement also includes ISSF’s top “asks” or requests of ICCAT, along with a list of ISSF’s global priorities for all RFMOs.
